This workshop will be given by a representative of the Hague International Centre and a representative of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service. Specifically geared for non-EU students who struggle with the legal restrictions of finding a job and extending their stay in the Netherlands. The presentation will cover various rules and regulations concerning acquiring a work permit in the Netherlands for non-EU students.

Furthermore, students with a higher education eager to stay in the Netherlands to pursue part time or full time employment will be told about the “search year”, a permit allowing a student to look for a job in the Netherlands after graduation. The contents, and the ways to apply for this permit will be covered in the presentation, along with various other details. The presentation will be concluded by a round of questions and answers whereby students can ask more specific questions relating to their situation.
